Connecticut Foodshare devised the SWAP nutrition ranking program. We planned the materials to hold up in a pantry while keeping weight and production costs down, built the ordering site, and handle the communications, printing, and shipping. Today the program serves Feeding America and its nationwide network of food banks and pantries, state health departments, and campus pantries at colleges and universities.

As SWAP grew, phone orders and manual fulfillment stopped scaling. Every co-branded request meant building a file from scratch.
We designed and built the ordering portal at SWAPMaterials.org. Partners choose what they need, upload their own logo for co-branding, and pay online. The order arrives in our shop already set up for production, and we handle the inbound questions that come with it.
A portal is only as good as what shows up in the box. Food pantries are damp, busy, and hard on paper, so the materials had to survive that, ship affordably, and stay inside a nonprofit budget. Those constraints pull against each other.
Durable enough for the environment, light enough that shipping a box across the country doesn't eat the budget.
